Worship

 

Worship is so much more than simply singing hymns on a Sunday morning. Worship is in our name because we believe it encompasses an attitude and a lifestyle. We worship God in our speech, with our talents, our thoughts, our actions, our finances, our dreams & desires, and the way we treat other people. The apostle Paul in his letter to the Romans describes it as follows...

Romans 12:1

"And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice-the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him."

At our Sunday services, you will experience a wide variety of music from modern praise to historical hymns. There are a variety of musical instruments used, or sometimes none at all. Our praise to God is fluid and changing. You may see individuals raising their hands, bowing, kneeling, dancing, clapping, sitting, singing, crying, or smiling. Our main concern is the heart and attitude of worship which is well described by David in:
 
Psalm 5:7

"Because of your unfailing love, I can enter your house; I will worship at your temple with deepest awe."
